2N SmartGate is a single channel analog GSM gateway, providing advanced services for a cost efficient communications over GSM networks. Intended for small and medium size companies, Smartgate will significantly reduce on-going cost GSM call costs. Connected to a PBX or network PC, SmartGate supports voice, data through GPRS, SMS and PC Fax transmission. A strong emphasis has been put on sound quality, reliability and long lasting performance. Smartgate offers a wide range of applications; it is equipped with both FXS and FXO interfaces, and can be installed on PBX trunk or extension lines, or an analog phone can be interfaced to the device. FXS (for analog phone or PBX trunk line) and FXO (for PBX extension line) interfaces Installed on a PBX extension line, the ”Follow me” feature makes the user accessible any time and anywhere on the mobile phone network to people who dial the user's fixed number assigned by the PBX. With this feature you are able to use all your PBX services via your mobile phone. The GPRS connection enables e-mail communication and Internet browsing. It is often used as a back-up Internet connection for small offices, or as a primary Internet connection on boats or rural areas. Automatic SMS message sending can be activated by external signal. Optional SMS Client/Server software is available for comprehensive PC-based SMS send and receive tools This analog GSM gateway can also be supplied from any 12V battery (e.g. 2N Energy Bank), which makes the device fully mobile.
