Yealink Firmware Version 51

Yealink has released new firmware for their range of enterprise IP Phones; T18, T20, T22, T26 and T28 models. The latest firmware is designated version 51.

The highlights of firmware version 51 are:

• The new firmware brings support for the Yealink EXP39 LCD Expansion Module and the EHS36 Wireless Headset Adapter.


• Introduces Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), which is a client-server protocol for accessing a directory service. LDAP lets you locate organizations, individuals, and other resources such as files and devices in a network, whether on the Internet or on a corporate intranet, and whether or not you know the domain name, IP address, or geographic whereabouts. An LDAP directory can be distributed among many servers on a network, then replicated and synchronized regularly.


• Enhanced support for Broadsoft, a leading supplier of Voice over IP Applications.

1. Added 'LDAP' option to DSSKey Page Tab in IP Phone Web Browser configuration.
2. Improved Broadsoft BLF List support. (models SIP-T28/T26/T22/T20)
3. Added Broadsoft DND&FWD synchronization.
4. Added Broadsoft network conference support.
5. Added Broadsoft redundant server (DNS-SRV) support.
6. Support of BLA function for SIP- T20x/T22x models added)
7. Ability to configure Auto-provision added to on-screen menu (i.e locate SIP server).
8. Support for the EXP39 LCD Expansion Module
9. Support for EHS36 Wireless Headset Adapter
10. Added logout button to web configuration page.
11. Support for displaying images in XML compliant Browsers.
12. Enabled hardsetting of  'Always Off/Always On' LCD backlight setting feature. (T28/T26/T22)
13. Support for parking a call to another server by 'Call Park'.
14. Enable the key tone of the 'SEND' key (ie the hash key) to be configurable, so enabled/disabled status can be hardset.
15. Enable receiving a busy tone when 'Call Completion' or 'Auto Redial' is enabled.
16. Enable configuration of a programmable key to support blind or attended call  via using new value option of 'DSSkey-Tran' in browser configuration
17. Added 'prefix' option in Browser configuration (DSSKey tabbed page) to auto enter the prefix number and wait to enter the extension number.
18. Modified the arrangement of softkeys to be more intuitive.
19. Modified the default input method in Phonebook 'Search' and 'Add contact' in to 'abc'.
20. Optimized TR069 web configuration page.
21. Added 'SWAP' SoftKey when the phone has two calls at the same time. (models SIP-T28x/T26x /T22x)
22. Modified the Advanced mode of Hot Desking to be restored to the previous account after logging out.
23. Enabled ability to convert a standard call to a conference call.
